Seattle Condo Blog and Community Information

The Cosmopolitan in Seattle is a high-rise condominium in the South Lake Union area. Residential condos start on the 10^thfloor,  the street level has retail businesses and the next 8 levels up are parking for the building. Floor plans range from  428 studio, many of which do not included parking  to very large penthouse units. Units feature stainless appliances stone or granite counter-tops and gas or electric fireplaces. Storage units which were located in the garage and on the first floor were available for purchase by the original owners and were an upgrade.  The building also offers a guest suit that may be rented by unit owners. 

The building directly to the west originally was much lower than the current plans when owners bought into the building.  The units on the west side will lose views to west with the new building which will be about a truck length away or about 18 feet.  The units that have a wall on the west side of building are units 7-10 on  floors 10 - 25 and units 7-9 on floors 26 -32.  Units 7 on these floors do have a south facing view but at this time I don’t know how much the building being erected to the south will effect the view and on which floors. 

To the North of the building is a Seattle Police station.  Now if it was a fire station or a ambulance dispatch station I would probably worry about noise from the sirens,  but do police cars actually go on hot pursuits from the station on a regular basis? Units 4-7 have a south facing view on floors 10-31 with the number 4 unit being a corner unit with a east facing view also. Units 2-4 on floors 10-31 have an East facing view with unit 2 being a corner unit with a North facing view also.  Units 1 and 11 on floors 10-25 have a North facing view along with units 1 and 10 on floors 26-31.
